Refund Policy

Refund Policy – Engage Events Effective Date: February 27, 2024 Engage Events provides a platform that allows event organisers to list, promote, and sell tickets for events. Refunds are subject to the terms set by individual event organisers and the conditions outlined below.

1. General Policy Engage Events acts as a ticketing intermediary and does not directly organise events. Refund eligibility is determined primarily by the event organiser’s refund policy, which is displayed on each event page. By purchasing a ticket, attendees agree to both the organiser’s terms and Engage Events’ platform policies.

2. Refunds for Event Attendees a. Event Cancellation If an event is cancelled by the organiser, attendees are entitled to a refund. Refunds will be processed less non-refundable service, payment gateway, or processing fees, unless otherwise stated by the organiser. Refund timelines typically range between 5–14 business days, depending on the payment provider. b. Event Postponement or Rescheduling If an event is rescheduled, tickets will usually remain valid for the new date. If an attendee cannot attend the rescheduled event, refund eligibility will depend on the organiser’s stated policy. c. No-Show or Late Arrival Refunds will not be issued for failure to attend an event, late arrival, or change of personal plans.

3. Non-Refundable Tickets Certain tickets may be marked “Non-Refundable” by the organiser. These tickets are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances, except where required by law.

4. Service & Processing Fees All Engage Events service fees, payment gateway charges, and transaction costs are non-refundable, even if a refund is approved for the ticket price.

5. Refund Requests Refund requests must be submitted through: The event page, or Engage Events customer support at hello@engageevents.app Requests must be made before the event date, unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

6. Refunds for Event Organisers Fees paid by organisers for: Event listings Promotions SMS marketing Live streaming Digital services are non-refundable once the service has commenced or been delivered.

7. Chargebacks & Fraud Engage Events reserves the right to suspend accounts involved in excessive chargebacks or fraudulent refund claims. Any chargeback fees incurred may be passed on to the responsible party.

8. Exceptions Engage Events may, at its discretion, issue refunds in exceptional cases such as: Duplicate charges Technical errors caused by the platform Proven fraudulent transactions

9. Policy Updates Engage Events reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time.
